Founded in 1997, PrydeLands Global Technologies has constantly evolved with the developing technologies to provide our clients with cutting edge solutions to everyday business. Realizing technologies can serve a dual purpose of minimizing waste of office resources while developing systems to advance businesses and organizations with minimal cost. The focus was to save the environment while being cost efficiant.

Designed and developed AgeWise program in Mount Vernon, NY. Redesigned existing technologies donated to senior citizen armory center. Participants age range 65-92 were instructed in assembling computers and basic application software.

Seniors were exposed to various applications and within 6 months were creating basic websites and writing emails to their grandchildren. Technology was a vital tool in bridging the gaps between generations.

Developed technologies to provide interactive events for Earthday events hosted by IGC and ECONET. Hosted Video teleconferences between City College and the University of Tokyo during environmental conference with guest speaker Robert F Kennedy Jr. Programmed Bulletin Board for conference to host International Professors' thesis for the conferences with interaction of college students via real-time writer program and IRC relay network. Keeping in mind Earthday was about minimizing waste - older technologies was incorporated with newer technologies to demonstrate to others how to properly recycle technology.

In 1999, interviewed by National Defense Magazine in article discussing changing security solutions for the evolving internet. Edward Smith was chosen with several other individuals from an information security background to be interviewed for the feature article. Discussion of the fact and (science) fiction of hacking and internet security breaches as well as recommendations for securing business and government networks.

Later that year Mr Smith lectured at the United Nations in October 1999 on behalf of Lions International regarding developing existing technologies to promote world peace. A growing concern over year 2000 compliance issues and its affect on international communications were addressed.

December 1999 elected to position of Internet chairperson for Lions International District 20R2. Maintained listservs and online conferences developing cyberlions program.

Implemented several programs and policies to educate & encourage usage of internet communication to connect all regional clubs in one master website network. Teens from LEO program were trained with office skills and international electronic correspondence.

September 2000 participated in Con Edison network security project. Edward Smith and fellow specialists on network securities discussed growing concerns about technology. Topics covered technological dependency and automated systems replacing manpower. Data collected was shared with several utility companies to assist developing failsafe systems.

Summer 2001 Hosted student exchange program between College of New Rochelle and the University of Edinburgh (Scotland). American and Scottish Students participated in a virtual classroom together from two continents including several videoconferenced lectures. Entire course was digital and paperless and environmental friendly.

October 2002 developed marketing media for TravelOne International's independent referral travel agent program in New York City. Digital media allowed representatives to conduct presentations without having to tote around with a laptop. Business recruitment could be accomplished with presentation materials and digital forms transmitted via a wireless connection built into digital business cards. Conducted and hosted several international conferences in Westchester and New York City.

2003 Developed teen program "StreetKatz.com" to involve teen boys in the application of technology. Boys in the program were given access to the internet and exposed to software to develop their own video games. Field trips to the Jacob Javitts center and Rockefeller Center, NYC during technology conferences and conventions to expose them to all the upcoming technologies.

2004 Worked with Masons to feed the hungry in November uniting several local community associations and local school district. Developed several local non-profit organization websites.

2005 Developed program with Dutchess County Mental Health & Family organization to educate parents on internet safety

2006 Designed and digitally enhanced image recognition identification devices for United States House of Representatives and House of Senate.

2007 Wiring Harlem and Hudson Valley areas of Upstate New York; orchestrating several community websites networking businesses of the Harlem Valley and Hudson Valley. Partnership with Dutchess County Tourism, Dutchess County Historical Society, and all the local chambers of commerce n Dutchess County.

2008 Sponsoring an international teen program for young women in technology.
